Irony Rules at Freud Bar Oxford
Wasn't Freud an atheist, if memory serves us right? So what is Freud Bar doing housed in a former Oxford-based church? Nowadays, beer bottles are stocked up in the structure's coolers, rather than religious booklets for church services.
Books are still revered here though, since Freud Bar hosts book readings regularly (aside from other live events such as local band performances.) Students usually make up the crowd of bar patrons who are more likely to pay steep prices for the Freudian drinks than save up for charities. Margaritas and martinis are the norm, aside from vodka infusions.
