Cafe a Brasileria Bar in Lisbon Retains Elegant Air Through the Years
Being the most famous, and the oldest, café in Chiado, Lisbon, Café a Brasileira is known for its elegant interiors complete with its mirrored walls, a long 18th century oak-paneled counter, and wooden booths. Young bargoers join forces with the the elderly whose outcome is a lively mix of trends and tradition.
Outside, there are chairs you can occupy with your friends so you can talk about the statue of a man wearing a hat found in the vicinity – that would be the poet Fernando Pessoa. Café a Brasileira is open for service from Mondays through Saturdays, from 2:00 pm until 12:00 pm.
