Sexy as the stylish shoe – that’s the Manolo Bar in Cape Town
Admit it – the first thing that comes to mind when you think of the name is the legendary shoemaker to the stars, Manolo Blahnik. Well, he doesn’t own this sexy joint but it sure would make him happy. Nestled at 30 Kloof Street, Cape Town, the Manolo Bar is popular not only because of the great selection of South African wines but also because of the impressive interiors.
The bar is in a Victorian house, a welcome respite from the usual joints in concrete buildings. The fact that Philippe Starck designed the interiors is good enough conversation piece. Regulars recommend the Norwegian salmon with Fynbos honey.
